We have been asked to develop the design for a garden to complement the recent renovation of a former pickle factory in the up-and-coming Fishtown neighborhood of northern Philly. With the renovation designed by our great friends at Bright Common, the 3-story brick building has been converted to a highly-sustainable and energy efficient home for an art photographer and plant collector. The garden makes use of locally sourced and recycled materials, dense native plantings, rainwater collection and other sustainable amenities. The majority of the hard-scaping and carpentry were installed in the Fall of 2016 by our friends at Phila Install (Christopher Greenlee Smith and Jim Hesselein). David Moses helped us with the design of the beautiful storage shed. Planting will be completed in the spring of 2017.
