Philadelphia’s northwest neighborhood Mt Airy is beloved for its generous back yards and close access to the magnificent Wissahickon Valley Park. We completed this residential backyard project for a family who wanted a functional but beautiful space to accommodate entertaining and play-space for their young family. We reused pavers and cobbles that the client already had on hand to make a stronger connection between the house and the garage, added raised veggie beds in the sunniest locales for kitchen veggies, and doubled the naturalistic plantings to cultivate habitat for birds.
