500 E Tioga is a continuation of the D Street Studio project whose landscape Apiary helped bring to light, whereby a post-industrial warehouse is being converted into production, studio and office space for commercial tenants. We were hired to develop schematic designs for the streetside and entrance beds, as well as an enclosed secret courtyard space for tenants and guests that promises to be magical. The courtyard is an exciting opportunity to make use of the wealth of vignettes and materials already on site, from mural backdrops, metal diamond plate,  exposed I-beams, adult swing sets, and perhaps even a few coppiced paulownias…
